Building up the Statistics

According to an article by Statista, the average price of electric cars in the USA ranges from $25,000 to $40,000. It's worth noting that prices vary depending on the type and brand of car, and the state's tax incentives, rebates and credits.

  • At the lower end of the price range, you'll mostly find smaller electric vehicles such as Nissan Leaf and Renault Zoe.
  • At the higher end of the price range, you'll mostly find luxury electric cars such as Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.

Also, the report states that EV sales worldwide increased by 40% in 2019, demonstrating a growing demand for more sustainable forms of mobility.

  • As the world shifts towards cleaner sources of power, electric cars will continue to grow in popularity.
  • The incentives to encourage the purchase of electric cars will likely increase in the future, driving prices down further.
  • The development of electric car batteries and other technologies will also bring the cost down, making electric cars more accessible to consumers.

It depends on how often you drive and how much you pay for electricity. But in general, electric cars are cheaper to operate than gas cars.
No way man, I heard it's more like $50k. Anyone know for sure?
My friend has a Nissan Leaf and loves it. Says it's super cheap to run and has saved him a ton of money on gas.

I heard the Bolt is really reliable and has a great range. Plus, it's one of the more affordable electric cars out there.
Anyone have an electric car? Are they worth the investment?
Just looked it up and it's actually more like $39k for the base model. But it goes up to like $105k for the performance model.
How does the cost of owning an electric car compare to a gas car?
Yo guys, anyone know how much a Tesla costs in the USA?
Idk dude, I think it's around like $35k or something?
Damn that's pricey. I'll stick with my gas guzzler for now.
It's definitely possible. With more and more people concerned about the environment and rising gas prices, electric cars could become a mainstream option in the near future.
Well, the initial cost is definitely higher, but you save a lot of money on gas and maintenance in the long run.
I'm thinking about getting a Chevy Bolt. Anyone have any experience with that car?
Do you think electric cars will eventually become the norm?
