Here are some trends to look out for in the future of electric vehicles
One of the main reasons why people are hesitant to switch from petrol cars to electric cars is that many novice drivers are worried about driving range. Range concerns the fear that an electric car will run out of power before reaching its destination - is a major concern for most consumers.
According to a survey conducted by Volvo and Harris Polling, 76% of drivers surveyed believe that electric vehicles are the future of driving. However, 61% of those same respondents would be more likely to purchase an electric car if there were more charging stations in the city. Luckily for them, this wish may soon come true.
Earlier last year, President Joe Biden announced a plan to create American jobs, which includes provisions to build a national network of 500,000 charging stations with a $15 billion special investment. This version will increase the frequency of electric vehicle charging stations on the roads and reduce the likelihood that someone will worry about driving distance.
In addition to making infrastructure more EV-friendly, other future technological advances could ease driver concerns about autonomy.
Over time, and as electric vehicle technology advances, batteries will grow in size, allowing cars to move forward.
From electric supercars to electric trucks, the future of electric vehicles looks very exciting. If today's compact electric vehicles aren't the type of vehicle you normally want to drive, know that you'll soon be able to drive a big electric car.
